NEW VEHICLE/VESSEL LICENSING HOURS STARTING DECEMBER 27TH, 2021

8:30 am- 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm-4:30 pm

The vehicle/vessel licensing hours will be changing in the Garfield County Auditor’s office starting on December 27th, 2021. Licensing transactions will be processed from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. The Auditor’s office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday but will no longer be processing vehicle/vessel licensing transactions after 4:30 p.m.

The Auditor's office performs all auto licensing for Garfield County.  Farming is a major industry; therefore licensing is very diverse among the residents.

Marriage Licensing

Garfield County Auditor's office sells marriage licenses.  There is a three day waiting period in Washington state.  Our county charges $36.00 per license; they are voided after 60 days if not used. 

Due to the time it takes to prepare marriage licenses and issue them, please come between the hours of 8:30 am-11:00 am or 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm. 

Pet Licensing

Garfield County does not license pets.  However, inside the city limits of Pomeroy pet licenses are required.  They have different rates for different situations.  The City Clerk can be reached at (509) 843-1601.
