County Treasurer's primary responsibilities include:

  • Collecting real and personal property taxes (including performing foreclosures on real property and distraints of personal property), special assessments, excise tax, and miscellaneous receipts from other county districts and departments and collection of all delinquent accounts.
  • Accounting for all funds and deposits of revenues for the state, county, city and junior taxing districts (school, port, fire, public health and hospital).
  • Determining adequate liquidity in funds for payment to vendors.
  • Administrating short- and long-term debt financing.
  • Managing the cash flow of the County and junior taxing districts.
  • Coordinating banking services and facilitating financial planning for the County and various taxing districts.

Tax Statements:  The 2024 tax statements will be mailed March 1st.

Tax Payments:  First half must be paid or postmarked by April 30.  Second half must be paid or postmarked by October 31.
