Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

10:00am-2:00pm

The Garfield County Sheriff's Office will be participating with the 1st ever Take-Back program.  The drop off site will be at the Sheriff's Office (789 W. Main).

Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter substances may be collected. The program is anonymous and all efforts will be made to protect the anonymity of individuals disposing of medications. No questions or requests will be made and no inventory or count will be taken by organizers.

Participants may dispose of medication in its orginal container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into a disposal box at the drop off site. If an original container is to be used, we do encourage you to remove any identifying information from the prescription label.

Intra-venous solutions, injectibles, syringes, or medical waste WILL NOT be accepted due to potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens.
