The Garfield County Health District is offering Flu Shots. Cost of shots is $30 for adults and $31 for children. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, cash and check.
Pomeroy School District Recieves Flashing Light Grant
In May the Pomeroy School District collaborated with the Garfield County Health District and Garfield County Sherieff's Office to apply for a Flashing Light Grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commision (WTSC). The grant was awarded to the Pomeroy School District in June. The flashing lights were installed on Main Street at the first part of October.

Healthy Communities Initiative
Healthy Communities Washington was a new initiative launched at the Joint Conference on Health in October of 2009. It defines the renewed work of the Office of Wellness and Prevention, including a mix of strategies to prevent and control chronic diseases in Washington State. Five counties recieved funding grants to launch Healthy Communties projects with Garfield being one of them. For more information about Healthy Communities Initiative click here.
Community Health and Prevention Advisory Board (CHAPAB)
Volunteer Questionnaire Form
The CHAPAB is conducting a questionnaire regarding the intrest of our community. This short survey asks what activities or organizations are YOU interested in volunteering for and if you would like to get involved. If you would like please print off the survey, fill it out, and return it to the Health District. We appreciate your input.
